I think that some parents are definately deadbeats. I met one the other day. She was a mother of 3 boys and 2 of them were older then 15 and the little on was about 10. He was in the room while they were doing bad things and the mother didnt really care. He played in that room and it made me sad. I felt bad for th eboy because he didn't know that there was better out there for him. And she could have cleaned up for him, she could have made it a somewhat better place for him to play.
Parents can sometimes be deadbeats because crap happens and they can't do anything about it. But most of the time they can, and they just don't want to. They dont think its worth it to live up their potential. Some things you just can't change.
